If you just want to get paint on a canvas fast, the workflow should be short. Open the app, pick a small palette, and start with the big shapes before you chase detail.
Step 1: open the app and gather the basics
- A browser.
- A reference image simple enough to block in quickly.
- Five to seven colors, not twenty.
Step 2: keep the palette small
Pick a canvas, choose a small palette, and keep the first five minutes ugly on purpose. Put down the big sky, ground, or object shapes. Do not start by trimming the edge of one leaf. That is how online painting turns into fiddling.
Step 3: block in the big shapes
